It's Tricky to Read Tricky Words

Help me give my students books at their level that are interesting to motivate them to read!

My Students

My students are a group of highly energetic, amazing children with Autism in grades 1-5. Many students with Autism have difficulty learning and retaining new information. These difficulties are often compounded by sensory overload that they experience daily. Many of my kids also have communication delays and need a calm, quiet place to take a break. I teach at a public elementary school with a high poverty rate. All of my kids have excellent attendance and really want to learn!

My Project

These books will continue to enhance our extensive classroom library. My classroom library is a place that my students really enjoy, they are able to get comfy in a bean bag chair and read! All of these books have been chosen with my students in mind.

I am requesting new books to help our struggling readers have more choices during independent reading time.

Many of the books I am requesting have popular characters and topics that make the books more interesting and will make my young readers motivated to learn to read!
