Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

I work with the most bright and energetic students in the world! In my classroom everyday brings something new. Students in my classroom are bright, curious and are always prepared to learn. Students engage in fun and interactive activities, work together to solve problems, and always do their best. The demographic of my students is 99% Latino and 1% African American and come from a low income home. Even though students lack the resources, the community comes together to provide support for our students success. Students are overcoming several barriers in their personal lives but find a way to come to school everyday with a bright smile and positive attitude.

My Project

We are requesting a few coats in Boys and Girls sizes M-Xlarge, we also are requesting sweaters and gloves for our students. We will provide these items to students with the most need at our school. These items will be for students in upper grades because that is where is the most needs. At this time in our students lives they are outgrowing most of their clothes at a rapid rate. We want to have these warm items for our students.

Most of our students walk to school and these items will help them get to school and have a warmer walk.
