It's Time for Time for Kids!

My students need subscriptions to Time for Kids, nonfiction classroom magazines.

My Students

My students are 21st century learners. They love using technology in our classroom and I integrate it as much as possible into all of the subject areas. My students are a bunch of inquisitive learners.

I teach at a small neighborhood school with approximately 560 students.

We first opened our doors in 1950. Arts in education is a major emphasis on our campus. Our school's mission is to develop children into life-long learners as a result of a challenging curriculum, individualized instruction, high expectations, and a nurturing environment with parental and community involvement. My class is made up of 21 diverse students, from students with special needs to those who are identified as gifted and talented. I encourage my students to appreciate each other's differences as well as find similarities among each other. They are very active, creative, and enjoy learning.

My Project

I would like to order two different grade levels of Time for Kids magazine subscriptions so that I can differentiate during Guided Reading. Students will work in small groups and receive instruction based on their reading levels.

I love using Time for Kids magazines during Guided Reading because I am able to easily integrate Social Studies and Language Arts.

Students love learning about current events and what is going on in the world around them and then sharing with their families what they have learned.

Time for Kids magazines are so colorful and engaging. Not only are they reading, but the teacher guide provides questions to ask and extensions after reading.
