My Students

I teach a class of high-energy kindergartners. They do their best learning hands-on, and they like to move a lot. My class has a wide range of abilities and home lives. They are happy to be at school and eager to learn. We are a K-2 school with over 600 students and we have 9 kindergarten classes. We are definitely a primary focused school with high standards for student learning. We believe all students can learn, and every staff member is committed to the success of each and every student. It is a wonderful place to teach and learn!

My Project

I remember as a young student getting TIME for Kids magazines each week. It was always so exciting to see what the magazines topic was for the week. I looked forward to reading the short, informative passages, and answering the comprehension questions on the back. I learned so much from these magazines. I hope to bring excitement to my students' faces by bringing? TIME for Kids into my own classroom. I want to instill a love for learning about nonfiction. I hope my students will continue the excitement for these magazines at their homes by sharing what they’ve learned with their families.
