My students need clipboards to bring their writing to the rug where they will be able to independently write as a whole group while the easle will provide an area that they can interact with.

My Students

My class is filled with 13 curious second graders. There are 5 girls and 8 boys who come to school everyday eager to learn.

We are a school that is located in military community.

There are 3 Air Force bases, an army base and 2 navy bases all within 30 mile radius. Many children are moved around and / or have friends come and go. They are also dealing with their parents being deployed.

Making their class a positive place of safety and security is of utmost importance to me.

My Project

My second graders are eager to learn. We are currently housed in a portable classroom that is limited.

Having an easle will help bring the writers to an area where they can work on their writing in a whole group setting.

The easle will provide a place where charts can be created and interactive reading and writing can happen.

They will be able to bring their clipboards to the area with their writing to share, edit and revise. They will also provide them the opportunity to move around the room with their partners to collaborate on their writing in partnerships.
