My Project
General education classrooms need pencils, paper, and folders. A music classroom needs instruments, technology, and instrument-fixing materials. Many different things happen in a music classroom, from singing to playing instruments. Things get worn out quickly and need upkeep and replacement.
In this project, I am asking for a few things to make my classroom run smoothly next year.
My students will need handbells so they will not have to wait their turn for an instrument. They will need castanets and the string to fix them for practicing rhythms. A new drum head will fix the broken and worn-out conga the students love playing. The adapters will make hooking up microphones a breeze for smaller recording projects. The mic stand will help correctly amplify our performances. Finally, the headphones will help my students who are sensitive to loud sounds. These things will help make music class more enjoyable and more accessible to all of my students.
I work with over 500 students, and each student has their own special interests, likes, and needs. In music, I strive to meet those needs and tap into their special interests by catering to their abilities emotionally (headphones) or physically (castanets). Each student is allowed to thrive in music by allowing them to try so many different instruments and music. Thank you very much for your consideration and donations.
