My students need dry erase markers, pencils, glue, color markers, pencil sharpener, crayons, paper, and markers to help them add color to their writing.
This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Students
Sometimes it's the simple things in life that excite children. A new pencil, a fresh box of crayons, or a cheerful saying on a pencil. Help me offer my students the simple joy of art. Your donation will help my students add a flair of art to their writing.
My students are second grade artists located in a suburb of St.
Louis. They love to color and draw. At this time of the year my students are drawing with broken crayons and dried out markers. It's hard to create a masterpiece with only half a crayon. Help me add a rainbow of color back into their lives.
My Project
Our writing curriculum encourages students to begin their narrative writing by drawing a beginning, middle, and ending picture. Drawing a picture before writing helps students recall a logical sequence of events and helps them remember details they may have forgotten.
New school supplies will help my students add a splash of color to their classroom projects. When times are tough for families, going to the store for school supplies may not be high on their shopping list. Your donation will help me provide crayons, markers and paper to my students. Students will use pens, pencils, crayons, glue, and other supplies to create projects for the material we are covering in class to help keep them engaged and learning.
Funding this project will also help me provide my students with drawing supplies for school and home.
Broken crayons and dried out markers can be a thing of the past for my wonderful artists.
