This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Students
My seventh and eighth grade students come to school carrying piles of stress and the impact of tragedies on their shoulders. They face more troubles in their short lives than I would hope to face in a lifetime. Yet, despite their hardships, they continue to amaze me.
My students attend school in a building that is over 100 years old with a lack of resources; yet, they harness the potential to change the world.
They just need access to resources to reach and realize their full potential. Now, that is where amazing people like you come in.
My Project
In a middle school classroom, we sometimes forget about the little things that keep our room running smoothly. The binder clips, hooks, and tier-organizer will help us keep items where they belong. Staying organized is essential to running a middle school classroom. In a day, I see over 100 students. The students will be able to easily find their items and put them away. The desk shelf will allow the teacher to have easy access to teacher manuals, guides, and reference books throughout the lesson.
We cannot forget about the little supply gems that help our classroom sparkle and function properly!
