This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Supplies may seem like a simple request, but for my ELL students, it can make all the difference in the world! My students, many times, come to school with no supplies or the wrong supplies. Often, this is simply because of the language barrier. They just may not understand or even know what they need for each class.

Having the supplies they need for class gives my ELL students confidence and helps them be prepared for any assignment or project.

It is such a relief to my students to know that they can come to me for notebook paper, or pens, or even a composition notebook. Knowing that I am there to support them in the most simple way makes their transition to a new country and a new school just a little easier.

For this project, paper, pens, pencils, crayons, erasers, paper clips, and composition notebooks will help my students be prepared for almost any class. Composition notebooks are needed for almost every class. These notebooks with different colored bindings will help students keep their notes from different classes separate and organized. Pens, pencils and erasers are always in demand and the paper clips and staples are another way to help students keep their assignements organized.

These simple supplies can make all the difference in the world for an MLL student who has no way of understanding what they need and why they need it.
