Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students come from families who are learning the English language, are low-income, and struggle in academics. These kiddos need all the exposure and all the materials they can get because most of them didn't have that exposure from preschool.

My students are excited to learn and gain all they can from kindergarten.

My Project

The materials donated will help make my students' learning more diverse and tiered to their needs. It will give them an opportunity to look at a concept in a multitude of ways. I'm excited to see their enthusiasm for our new materials. Manipulatives are our favorite way to learn math! Many of the materials we need are manipulatives. Our goal is to count and write numbers 1-20 by the end of the year. Lastly, I will have an opportunity to send materials home to continue to practice math at home and reach our goal soon!
