Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Something magical happens when students do math on whiteboards or windows. They eagerly grab their markers and begin writing out the equations, try what they know, and see where it takes them. These non-permanent surfaces definitely reduce the fear of making mistakes, and as a result, collaboration and risk-taking soar.
As we wrap up this school year and prepare for the next, I’m seeking your support to help restock my classroom with the tools that empower students to approach math fearlessly!
With your donations, we can restock whiteboards, dry erase markers, and chalk markers for hours and hours of problem solving.
Additionally, I’m requesting donations for interactive tools to further engage and motivate my students. Geometry proofs and graphing functions are among the most challenging concepts for my students. Your contribution will help make angle proofs more hands-on with AngLegs, and make graphing less tedious with these cool graph sticky notes.
