Help me give my students tools and materials to create sustainably sourced leathercraft projects.

My Project

Through a partnership with Southwest Airlines and Ecorise, students have access to leather as a material to create art projects. The leather is from seats on decommissioned planes. We will have lots of conversations around sustainability as we create these projects.

We have the leather, now we need the tools to create art projects!

Students will create a range of projects: bracelets, pouches, jewelry, wall hangings and weavings. The tools will help prep materials, add decoration and add closures. The wood burners will be used for drawing designs on the leather. With these tools, the possibilities for creative projects explodes!
