My students need these updated materials, they books from 1997 just aren’t cutting it anymore. I would truly like an entire class set of textbooks, but unfortunately through Amazon there are not enough.

Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
At my school (FSAS) we have a broad array of different learners. FSAS is an urban neighborhood school in North Philadelphia with the majority of students coming from a Hispanic background. This year we received a ton of students from Puerto Rico after the hurricane. Being an English speaking teacher with some Spanish classes in high school, I've found it difficult at points to communicate with a lot of the students. Especially with our old/out-dated textbooks
Our Health textbooks are extremely old (from 1997) and in terrible condition.
The problem is the old books are inaccurate and hard to follow. Most of the year I find myself creating my own lessons. Although I do enjoy doing my own thing, i think it would be great to have a book to at least guide some of my instruction.
My Project
The current Health books at my school are embarrassing to even look at. I feel like I'm teaching in the TV show Saved By The Bell from the early 90's. The books are ragged and torn, drawn in, ripped up, but most importantly they are OLD and the materials are incorrect.
These books will create a sense of pride and appreciation for the Health curriculum.
The old books make Health seem like a subject of no relevance, which is the furthest thing from the truth. My students need as many of these textbooks as possible to improve their knowledge on the Health world around them.
