My Project

As a first year teacher with a rare physical disability, I have to build a classroom from scratch that not only suits my needs but also supports student learning. The classroom rug offers a warm and inviting space for my students to begin our day of learning, and the whiteboards give them confidence to share with minimal barriers. The document camera allows the students to see exactly what I’m writing when we’re doing math while also providing extra accessibility for my arms, and the laminator makes it possible to save student work longer.

I believe everyone has the ability to succeed with the right materials, no matter their physical limitations.

By helping fund these essentials, you give me the ability to show my students that there is a world where everyone is included, regardless of ability.
