My Students
I am the lucky teacher of a very special group of second graders. My class is made up of some of the most adorable faces you have ever seen. My students come from a diverse background. I have many ELL learners and special needs students in my class. The needs of my students are extremely important to me. They come from a wide range of socioeconomic and cultural backgrounds, but the one thing that they have in common is the desire to learn. The students and their families all hold the value of education extremely important despite the challenges that they face. Many of the students come from hardworking, immigrant parents. School is the place where they learn English, have their meals, feel safe, and grow. Enabling them with a classroom that fits their needs is just a small part that I can do to ensure that they are receiving every opportunity available to them.
Abraham Lincoln once said, "The best way to predict your future is to create it." I want to give them an environment where these wonderful minds have the opportunity to create a future that will change the world.
My Project
The materials that I am requesting for my students will help keep them organized and on task. Students can get distracted when their belongings fall on the floor or when they cannot easily get to the materials they need. Having the chair bags will help alleviate this problem. They can store their pencils, crayons, and even a few free choice books.
Organization is the key to success and these bags are the key.
Having these bags will be a huge help to my students and myself. The bags will also be a bright and colorful accent to our room. Less mess on the floors and a pop of color on the chairs is just what they need.
