It's Hard To Read Music in Band Without a Good Stand
My students need method books, 35 music stands, and reeds to perform on the new instruments we will be using in our new band program.

My Students
Do you remember what it was like to play in your first band concert? My students have never gotten the opportunity to participate in an instrumental music program. This is a life changing experience I am bringing to my school.
My diverse students live in an urban area of New York.
They attend public school and strive to attend the top high schools after completing middle school. They come to school eager to learn and progress in music, but unfortunately we do not have the proper resources to assist them in their development of their love of music.
My Project
New method books and music stands will allow for the students to receive proper instrumental instruction as well as give them the opportunity to perform on stage for their friends, family and school community.
The foldable stands will allow opportunities for playing at out of school venues for competitions and festivals. I have also requested reeds so my students can perform on their new instruments.
This donation will change the music program forever.
It will allow me to stage a full band for holiday and seasonal concerts and festivals. Students who are already into music can fulfill dreams of attending performing arts high schools on the instrument that they fall in love with. With the help of this donation the sky will be the limit for these students.
