it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
I am a teacher at a Title I school in Greenville, South Carolina. My school is a high poverty school where all students receive free lunch and free breakfast.
At my school, "Every Student Counts, and Every Moment Matters!" We want the moments that matter most to be those in which our students learn not only the curriculum but life lessons that will carry them through their teenage years and into adulthood.
The students overcome obstacles every day in our school from language barriers to essential needs, but they still come to school with a smile on their face. I want to make their 5th grade year as special as possible. To do that, I need your help!
My Project
I am working hard to be armed with new "tricks" to ensure that my students are engaged in their learning daily.
Imagine being able to glow in the dark and complete math problems or close read passages and see the details you highlighted pop.
With funding this project the students will have the opportunity to do just that. With these black lights and glow supplies, the students will be able to have glow games where all the lights are turned off and the black lights turned on to illuminate and engage the students in their work. They can get their neon read on with the black light and highlighters. Help me engage my students to the best of my ability by helping me get these black lights.
