Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Students that have grown up during the pandemic haven't had as much access to physical books as they have in previous years. From learning at home to hybrid learning, they haven't had the easy access to school and classroom libraries that they should have had. That being said, I have many more reluctant readers than ever, and I'd love these high-interest books to put in my class library to get my students excited about reading!

These books are almost all novels that my students have requested specifically, mostly because the ones in the school library are always checked out and have long waitlists and they are excited for the opportunity to read!

For students who have missed so much of their crucial learning how to read years due to COVID, the fact that they are excited about these books and are asking to read them gives me more joy than I can express! Reading is a superpower, and these books will help my students fly!
