This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Last summer, I participated in the Pathfinders Institute and learned how to code Microbits that can be used as microcontrollers to control servos, LEDs, and more. This year, I want to teach my students how to code them and wire projects together, but we need the supplies and storage for them first.
It usually takes students multiple days to take a project from design to prototype, and in that time period, we need a place to place projects so they won't get tampered with by other classes: these carts would be a perfect spot to store our projects so they can be wheeled away when not in use.
There's no worse feeling than putting hard work into a project, just to have it disappear or get meddled with by another class. Being able to place their projects in designated carts so I can roll them away from other class periods is the best way to safeguard their work. Please help me provide the best STEAM experience that I can for our underserved 7th and 8th graders!
I am also asking for an adapter and a printer cable so I can hook up a computer to my printer so students can print design plans and decorations for their projects. The sticker paper allows them to print and stick on any designs they want. The gears, motors, pulleys, and alligator clips are all components necessary to wire our projects together.
I could definitely not give my students an enriching STEAM experience without the help you donors like you! Thank you!
