Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
I believe that every child is unique, special, and can achieve all kinds of success when given the proper tools.
All of the students in my classroom have moderate to severe Autism.
In my four years of teaching these wonderful children, I have come to see that every single one of my students is unique and most importantly they learn differently from one another as well as from other typically developing students.
My Project
Our school is a public school and we are funded by the state. However, as most of you know, budgets are being cut and spread thin everyday. As much as I would like to go out and buy everything I can for my students and their education, that is also not possible. A majority of the students who attend this school come from extremely low income families as well. I would be able to use these items for reading, centers for literacy, math, and fine motor, circle time, and much more. I will be able to enhance my students' learning and provide my students with concepts that are much easier to understand through the use of the materials. The items I have requested are books, cooperative games, math items such as manipulatives and games.
I would love to have the materials for the classroom to help my students in their learning experience.
My students benefit greatly from hands on experiences, visuals, and tangible items. These items would add to classroom to help the students have even more of a meaningful learning experience.
