I would like for my students to become excited about science and stay excited about science.
We are a rural school with 65% of students receiving free/reduced lunches.
They have limited experiences outside of their community. Most have blue-collar parents with limited knowledge of the importance of science. I would like to encourage my students to have futures in the science field.
My Project
Delta Science Module Electrical Circuits Complete Kit is a great for students to learn and master on open and closed circuits followed by constructing and working on parallel and series circuits. Effect of resistances is studied by observing brightness of different bulbs that pass through various types of wires and also the factors affecting the flow of current is studied. Students learn to depict their own sophisticated electrical setups with circuit diagrams. Conduction of current in solids and liquids are thoroughly studied by designing circuit testers and students also create circuit puzzles to outwit one another with hidden configurations.
By actually conducting experiment with electricity, they will naturally be more engaged.
Learning through lecture only is not a very effective method. These resources will help reinforce what they have learned.
