Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

This project will provide three cameras for our students. Allowing students to take pictures with their families and posting these pictures in the classroom calm-down area will help them refocus when feeling homesick during the school day. Having these pictures will also help build appreciation for diversity and embrace an inclusive mindset in their early childhood classrooms. This will be a great opportunity to discuss and appreciate our unique family backgrounds. We will also refer to these photos when engaging in our family unit! This is a great opportunity to continually build and strengthen our school-family connections.
