My Students

My school is a place where students of all backgrounds come to learn and explore together. We are an "A" school and our community takes pride in our progress and hard work. My students enjoy learning about critical thinking skills and we work collaboratively as a class to learn and solve real world issues.

We strive as a school to use critical thinking skills to solve real-world problems and challenges.

This enables our students to be better prepared for the job force once they graduate high school.

My Project

The class I teach is titled Critical and Creative Writing and the purpose of this class is to prepare 6th-grade students for 7th-grade Civics by introducing them to the language and documents they will encounter.

The book, "The Democratic Process", is a great way to introduce students to the basics of our government and will assist them in learning essential vocabulary needed in Civics class.

This book will lay the groundwork for the rest of the class. Once students understand the basics of how our government works, we will then be able to expand on that foundation and introduce the documents that helped to create it.
