I chose nonfiction books because my classroom library is currently lacking in nonfiction books. I wanted to choose books that were of a variety of reading levels and interests. I chose popular books such as "I am Malala" and "The Boy Who Harnessed the Wind" to help diversify my classroom library. These books are not only high-interest, but also will appeal to a variety of audiences. I did include one set of classic books such as "Dracula" because these are graphic novels that my students will find appealing. I chose books such as "Team Moon: How 400,000 People Landed Apollo 11 on the Moon" to appeal to the science-minded students, and chose books such as "Maus I: A Survivor's Tale My Father Bleeds History" to appeal to the students who like to read about war.
