It's Circle Time!

My students need a rug to sit on for calendar, reading, and circle time, along with "Connect & Store" book bins, and a classroom calendar kit.

My Students

Our rug is where our most important learning takes place! It is a comfy place to read a good book, a place for class meetings, sharing, doing puzzles, and building, and the spot for just about every other great learning moment in our classroom.

My students are inquisitive, independent and curious.

They love learning new things and sharing what they have learned with their peers. My students do most of their learning at school. Many do not have books at home or parents who are able to read to them and nurture them academically. The classroom is where their learning takes place.

My Project

I have requested a rug for the classroom so we can have circle time, whole group lessons and a comfortable place for students to read, do group work, build and share. I have also asked for a calendar to use with them every day during morning meetings because we learn a lot of math and language arts during calendar each morning. Finally, I have requested Connect & Store Book Bins to help organize our classroom.

A new beautiful clean rug will give my students a place to sit as a group.

We can sit on the rug to share and enjoy morning meetings, circle time and whole group lessons. In second grade, students need to be able to squirm and move, and carpet time allows them a little more wiggle and learning room.
