It's Basketball Time

Help me give my students basketball equipment to use during club time with a team.

My Project

For the past year my students have asked for a school sports team. Our principal listened. All teachers are required to have a club, my club is the sports club/team. I asked them what sport they would like to play, and my students screamed soccer and flag football. So, we started a soccer team and a football team. Now we need to start our basketball team. With the basketball hoops, my students will be able to join in a team sport. The students said we need basketballs hoops that they can use on our concrete outside. My students have made a makeshift basketball court in our playground. The students will use this equipment to get healthy and to stay healthy through being active in sports. The students will also learn about living healthy lifestyles. Every child will have an equal opportunity to take part in a team sport and to learn about sportsmanship.

My students gave me a list of equipment that they needed to play basketball.

My students believe the items that we requested would help start our team to score points. They laughed at the pun.

So many of our families cannot afford to pay to put their children in team sports so we are hoping to offer team sports at our school where it is free to all. Providing us with this equipment will help these students feel prepared.
