This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Raz-Kids Reading Resources will be so helpful in making a difference in my students' reading at home and in school. Students will all be given a set reading level to start off on based on their beginning-of-year reading assessments. The digital books will grow with them as they grow in their reading. When they master one reading level, Raz Kids automatically moves them to the next level of digital books. It is important that students are reading books on their level because if they are not challenged, they will not grow and vice versa, if it is too challenging, they will get discouraged.
Students can use this resource in school but more importantly at home.
This is important because so many of my students do not have access to on-level texts at home. It is important for students to read at least 20 minutes every night to help improve their reading. Students can listen to stories, read stories, and answer questions that go with the stories to monitor their comprehension all digitally.
