This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

As the year is chugging along and my students have been expressing their thoughts and desires in my classroom. I am always seeking pencils and pens because they run out faster than I can replace them at times. While I do often have the students "trade" an item for a pencil, that doesn't help them when they need them outside my classroom so I will let them keep them if need it. Along with the pencils, pens are always in demand. By having pens for students to write with they are able to get their work in my classroom done with ease.

My goal for my classroom has always been to make it a welcoming place for my students and all those on campus.

Lately I have been opening my class at lunch and the students have been playing the games I already have. However, there are some days where I have more students than games. In getting new games for students to enjoy I will be able to ensure that they all can have an entertaining and enjoyable lunch time in my classroom.

The students who are in my class or come to my class at lunch are all special to me because they brighten my day and time at school. When they are comfortable in my classroom and feel welcome I can ensure that there is one place in the world that makes them feel like they belong. With your donations I can continue to provide a space for them to seek and want to be a part of.
