This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Students
Our school is a Title I school, with high numbers of children from low-income families, and is in need of new learning materials that are engaging and standards-based. We have a love for learning but need some materials to help us on our journey this school year.
We love our school and love learning new skills each day with our friends.
Some of our favorite things to do are reading and math centers, Go Noodle, art activities, and science experiments.
My Project
These center materials will be used for all students in third through fifth grades as learning activities for small group, student-led centers, and intervention. Our teachers will be able to check out the games for their classroom use and return to share across many grade levels.
Many children are performing below grade level and need support in the math content areas supported by these center activity games.
They will also be used for intervention pull-out groups daily to help bridge the learning gaps in mathematics.
These activities are well made, colorful and engaging for children to use with their teacher, independently or with their peers.
