This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
I am blessed to teach an amazing group of moderate/severe special education high school students. Our school is a Title I school serving a diverse population. The students I work with are determined and strive to persevere through social, emotional, and academic challenges. My Community-Based Instruction (CBI) class has worked with peers on the yearbook staff, attended school activities, and volunteered in the community. They excel with movement and hands-on experiences. I am blessed to be their teacher, and I strive to encourage students beyond their greatest expectations. As the new semester begins, organization is key to their success.
The new year brings change and a new perspective for students.
The desk, chairs, locker storage and magnetic organization containers will create a classroom of peace and organization, helping students focus on their academic instruction. By creating this aura of togetherness and community, students can work together as team and be successful. Thank you for supporting my students with unique needs. I am grateful!
