This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
The start of the school year is stressful for students and parents. I am asking for basic supplies to alleviate the stress of asking parents to provide classroom supplies.
At my school, more than 75% of students are Black, Latino, and/or Native American, and more than 75% come from low-income households.
Having to purchase extra classroom supplies is not an option for these families. My student have various disabilities. Having paper, tissues, paper towels, markers, crayons and various other supplies on hand helps them start the year off in a positive way.
