This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Students will use the black spray paint to finish their wooden bases for their air dry clay sculptures. Students will use either flat or gloss black paint to spray the base that will be attached to the a wire armature. The students will the apply foil to add thickness to the sculpture. Finally, the students will adhere the air dry clay and sculpt figurines. The base is one of the important aspects of the visual appearance as the black paint makes the sculpture look finished and elegant. Students will have something they can cherish for years.
