My students need choice! I am asking for new desk chairs for our flex seating, an additional wobble stool, refills for our bean bags, dry erase dots for our small group work, and 27 new books!
What a great group of kids! We have such a diverse and differentiated classroom. They are going to learn so much from each other this year.

We are a part of a large, high achieving school that shoots for the stars. My students are the biggest kids on campus, and we have a lot of fun preparing for intermediate school next year. We love to laugh and have fun learning. We face challenges head on and do it with a smile. I know we're going to have an amazing school year as we learn from each other!
My Project
We know that children do well with choice. Love & Logic tells us to offer choices that we're comfortable with, and that's just what I am doing! I am providing flex seating in the classroom that allows students multiple seating solutions that best fit their need. Some prefer standing at tall desks, while others need to wiggle on wobble stools. Whatever my students need to engage their minds, I want to be able to provide it for them. My students will be able to choose from new options like the adjustable desk chairs, wobble stools, and our freshly filled bean bags. We'll also be embracing flex seating at small group instruction and using dry erase dots instead of white boards at our small group lessons.
I want my students to love to read.
I foster the love of reading by providing them with hundreds of book choices that interest them. No one enjoys being forced to read a specific book, it already puts the reader in a negative state of mind. Instead, our class library is packed full of best selling kids books that have been recommended and chosen by other 4th grade students. Out of the 27 books we've ordered, students will be able to pick from many different series like The Keeper of the Lost Cities, The Imaginary Vet, Spy School, The Kingdom of Wrenly, and so much more! It's a recipe for success!
