it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Learning about measurement is a LIFE skill! It’s hard to tell how heavy or light objects are just by looking at a picture or watching a video, especially for our littlest learners. The measurement and data unit is an area kids NEED to experience in a hands-on way.
Balance scales will help my students better grasp concepts of weight and mass, which will help to lay a foundation for future learning in STEM.
Having a class set of scales in the classroom will allow students opportunities to work collaboratively, strengthening speaking, listening, and critical thinking skills.
