This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My students are primarily Latino attending a school in a low income neighborhood. Many of them will be a first generation high school graduate and college student.

My students are in a magnet program for Bio-medical Health and Public Service, reading Frankenstein in a visual and text format will help reinforce the skills they need for their future careers.

My students have a thirst for knowledge and they are amazed by the classic literature we read as a class when they can experience it visually. They would benefit greatly from each having a copy of this Graphic Novel adaptation of Frankenstein to help strengthen their reading skills and enable them to have a rich discussion on bio-medical ethics in the novel.
