My students need the animation studio with 2 HD Hue cameras and microphones to take their stop motion movies to a whole new level! They also need an Osmo Genius Kit to enhance their learning.
Hello! I am a third grade classroom teacher from a Title I School, with over 50% of the students qualifying for free or reduced price lunch. I would describe my students as kind-hearted, passionate learners that are very active! They enjoy moving around the classroom and appreciate positive attention and choices.
Many of my students come from homes that face challenges beyond their control.
I am looking for simple ways to help them become inspired and grow as learners. I want them to be inspired by innovative ways to learn!
My Project
Third graders love to learn using new, innovative tools. One way they are able to do this is by creating stop motion movies. The microphones and cameras will allow my students to create and listen to the movies they make. They use stop motion technology to retell stories, to teach others about something new, to take their learning to a deeper level and to show me what they know about curriculum that has been taught. The Osmo Genius will be used to enrich our curriculum even further, at all levels of learning.
Our classrooms are not yet at the level technologically to meet students' needs as learners.
This grant will help to close that gap just a little bit more. Learning in a fun, innovative and creative way!
