Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I work with a targeted group of disadvantaged minority students to provide support, guidance, resources, and tutorials to ensure they pass all of their classes to be eligible to attend a university. I want my students to have a positive learning experience.

My goal is to spark interest and bring STEM concepts to life through hands-on activities that inspire confidence, critical-thinking skills and foster collaboration.

The slime kits on my list are to build students’ STEM fundamentals by engaging in fun projects and activities such as making their own batch of slime. For this, they will have to experiment with different recipes, ingredient combinations and ratios to get the consistency desired. Students will be allowed to keep the slime as their “fidget” to help them relax when they’re feeling anxious. The guided journal will also help with anxiety and aid in social emotional learning. The project book will provide fun-filled projects with scientific principles to continue their learning. The hand sanitizers will be used to keep a sanitary learning environment.

Having engaging and hands-on learning activities will boost my students’ confidence and foster an appreciation for learning. Thank you for allowing me to provide this for my students.
