My Project

I recently put out items in my library for students to retell the story called The Grouchy Ladybug. The students became engaged in the characters in the book. They were even using the same loose parts to retell their own stories. I want to create more opportunities for storytelling by creating a new base layer in my library center called "small world." Small world will be an activity where students can create their own stories using loose parts. A Beginning of Year project I would like to do is to have each student paint their own peg doll to have in the center to play with.
