My students are the most amazing students and they love to learn new things. I want to help them be as independent as they can as adults when they leave school. In my classroom, we believe that no matter what, every person is important, respected, and capable of doing amazing things. We honor their interests during the day, especially free time in which they can play puzzles and games or draw. My students need help to learn essential skills and they learn best through doing tasks themselves, like cleaning up after themselves.
The puzzle mats can be used to support my students interests in doing big puzzles.
They can roll it all up to move the mess out of the way when it's time to get back to work, until next time. Successful transitions are a huge focus in my class because knowing how to quickly switch gears unlocks so many doors for the future. Thank you so much for your support.
