Mrs. Rizzuto from Lansdowne PA is requesting educational kits & games through DonorsChoose, the most trusted classroom funding site for teachers.
My students need STEM activities such as, Gadgets & Gizmos Invention Kit and Don't Lose Your Marbles STEM Learning Lab to boost their imaginations and hands-on learning.

The students in the 4th grade classes are always wanting to build things and use their hands to be engaged. Minds on and hands on learning for this group of scholars!
I teach in a low income Title 1 school where students are aspiring to learn.
This year the fourth grade these students are constantly building paper airplanes and wanting to build at indoor recess. They are wanting the chance to express themselves individually and collaborate as they learn to be creative in their classrooms.
These STEM materials will allow my students to be engaged with the materials to build with the materials and see how the world works around them. They can put the pieces together and build objects that they can come in contact with around the world; helicopters, bridges, roller coasters, and catapults.
STEM allows students to get their creative juices flowing and gets them hands on, minds on each day in the classroom.
In this project I have chosen the marbles kit so the students are able to make their own path and students can even measure whose marble travels the farthest. Another kit I chose was the gadgets and gizmos which would allow students to use string and legos to draw things they can see in everyday life. In science, these materials would be used as group work where the students are given a card to follow to make the design. This strategy brings in teamwork, collaboration, and creativity all in one.
