This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Our students are very excited about the opportunity to promote reading and literacy in our community at our annual Community Literacy Night. This event brings together our students with families in our surrounding community to celebrate books and the importance of reading. This event allows our students to lead the effort by becoming mentor readers to other children in our school community and from the neighborhood. This year, they would like to bring some animal books to share with the young reading buddies! Kids are always so excited to learn about all things animals! They are curious and inquisitive. They love to read about animals, their habitats, and all the funny things they do.

Our students selected new interesting animal books to share during our annual Community Literacy Night to inspire our students to keep learning about nature and share their love for reading with their community!

This project contains everything we need to bring a great library of Animal books to our Community Literacy Night. They are getting great National Geographic books level readers that are just right for them. There's something for every reading level and interest! These are books parents and children can read and enjoy together. Help us promote the importance of families reading together. Help our community show how much they support literacy in our school!
