My Project
My students use a variety of tools to engage with mathematics. The pencil pouches will allow me to create a pouch full of learning tools such as a calculator, scissors, glue stick, and highlighters for each student desk. This will help from giving up valuable classroom time from getting supplies for each activity. Highlighters will be useful when doing our unit about analyzing functions and they can visualize what each word is represented in graphs. The docking stations will allow students a place to store and charge their devices during tests and quizzes and during class time. This will help with the growing problem of distractions and cheating that are many times used by electronic devices. I will use the iPad Pencil daily as a teaching tool during each lesson. It will also allow students to write on their iPad to show examples to math problems. The pencil will also allow me to make instructional videos that students can access from home through the school's online platform.
