Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Landmark KNIGHTS are exceptional! We have over 1100 students at Landmark Middle School in grades 6-8. Each Counselor has near to 400 students on each of their caseloads. As our main priority are our students, we try to take every opportunity we can to spend time with them. Because we have such large caseloads, we have found that this is best done by being outside. Whether a planned activity like College Pledge Day, Mix It up Mondays, Relay Races for Kindness, or our favorite March Madness or just being present like with our bi weekly Counselor in the Quad, we are present.

Being available is a big deal for school counselors.

With our particular demographic, we are home base. The items we are requesting will assist us the Counseling Department by reaching out to the students during lunch time activities, as well as information nights. The canopy will be used by our counselors & students for our counselor in the quad events where we answer any questions about academics, social emotional topics and college and career exploration, along with our scheduled activities like Red Ribbon week and College Kick OFF.

My Project
