This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
Our school is a vibrant urban community filled with students who carry roots from all over the world.
Our students thrive despite challenges and adversities!
We want to provide this generation with much-needed resources so they can grow to be the leaders, learners, and creators that the future will need.
My Project
Soon our students will start their literature circle unit where choosing their own novel opens up the opportunity to explore a fun story together as a book club team.
Help us stock our shelves with a pair of new books that are hot off the presses!
The kids have spoken and these books are at the top of their "WANT TO READ" lists. These uplifting stories feature a Bushwick teenager in a re-mix of Pride and Prejudice and a Philly teen mom who hustles her way into the world of culinary arts. Donating to this project will help make our book club choices even more exciting and delightfully difficult for our eager reading teams!
