This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My students with disabilities need to practice their spelling words consistently, and these Write and Wipe boards would save me from making multiple copies. My students can even take them home to practice, as well as use this countdown timer that is able to have the sound off. Most of my students don't like the sound of timers, and this would benefit them by seeing the flashing color to let them know the time has come to an end.

Regardless of ability, these items will set them up for success.

I have been successful in incorporating Play-Doh in my literature stations. The students need to spell the word, but vowels and consonants are in different colors. This way, they can see the word visually. This will be done on the Wipe and Write board, so paper will not be wasted.
