it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My students are eager to learn. They come to school every day looking for new challenges. I like to think of them as little sponges ready to soak up everything I teach them.
My students attend an inner city school in southern California.
They come from a low socioeconomic background. Violence in the neighborhood is all too common. But even with all of these challenges facing them, they find ways to succeed. They understand the value of a quality education. I truly believe that by introducing my students to a healthy way of living, their study habits and work habits will improve.
My Project
My 6th though 8th grade students are eager learners who enjoy incorporating technology in their studies. To further their studies in science, they need a drone and carrying case to apply their STEM knowledge and build on new collaborative strategies that will enhance their cooperative skills. They also like to reinforce their mathematical studies by measuring the distance between objects and measuring the height of actual buildings through flight test runs. This would be our school's first drone for students to learn operational use and educational advantages of learning how to operate a drone. Your generosity would be greatly appreciated in getting this resource to my students. Thank you in advance!
