This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
I am a big believer that a welcoming classroom environment can impact student engagement. After almost 20 years of teaching, many have attested to how the way the classroom was set up helps them feel welcome and therefore are able to focus on what's being taught.
To add to the aesthetics of our classroom, I am requesting a colorful digital clock.
It has many features that I believe my students will appreciate. I have also included a couple things our classroom is in need of, like a paper cutter, sentence magnets and hooks. By having a colorful classroom ready for instruction, collaboration, and lots of learning, I know it will be a positive start for the new school year. My goal is to update the classroom with resources that encourage learning so my students can see that their classroom is their home away from home.
