My Students
We work at a Title 1 school This means the student population is lower-income and all students at our school get free breakfast and lunch. I am a second-grade special education teacher. I work in a wonderful inclusion classroom. I work with another teacher and together we have special kids and regular kids in the same class. Because of Covid 19 we have concerns with students sharing water fountains, school supplies, and PE equipment.
Safety is such a concern this school year.
Some of the students have emotional issues because of the poverty they come from. But my co-teacher and I love our class and the challenges we face.
My Project
My co-teacher, Mrs. Donnelly, and I are organizing our classroom to be a safe environment for our children. The water bottles will be for individual use in the classroom. The balls are for outside play. The white boards are to be used at home for distance learning.
This will be a very difficult year for teachers, parents, and students
because of the pandemic. I am hoping to make it easier and safer for everyone. Students will not have to share items and will be able to use some at home.
