My students need some basic items such as a metronome that can be heard by the entire class, a woodwind repair kit, and a guitar with case and strap.

Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
Having the instruments for our students are nice, but there are still small things we need to help our classes run smoother.
My students are from L.A.U.S.D.
and they are usually from low income neighborhoods. They really have the drive to learn. In addition to the classroom homework, they are expected to practice and perform pieces learned in my music classes. We find that attendance increases for students that take art classes.
My Project
With the metronome, all my students will be able to hear and keep accurate time while we rehearse.
The guitar will be the demonstrating guitar I will be using when we start our guitar program in the future.
The rest of the items are accessories to keep the guitar protected and the metronome running on A/C power.
I hope the metronome will help the students keep time better during practice and performance.
Being able to keep time accurately is one of the most basic expectations for a musician.
The guitar will help me demonstrate during guitar classes in the future.
Nearly all students from low‑income households
