My Students
My students are enthusiastic, curious, and engaged.
They are hands-on learners.
Some of my students speak another language at home and several qualify for special education modifications. Our school is a brand new school (only grades K-3 currently) that is still building its curriculum and materials. We are a STEAM school, meaning we explore various scientific concepts through hands-on, integrated projects.
My kindergartners are fully immersed in a scientific concept and topic throughout the school day. My students love to learn, experience new things, and have fun discovering new things. To keep things current and exciting for them, I am hoping to attend the I Teach K conference. My students deserve the best and most innovative ideas in curriculum and instruction, which will be available to me at the conference.
My Project
I am so excited about the opportunity to attend the I Teach Kindergarten conference. I have had a desire to experience this fantastic professional development event, and I am hoping this year is finally my year! In order for this to be an option for me, I require support for my lodging.
Although I have been teaching for over 21 years, I am a firm believer in always working to stay up to date and educated on new and innovative instructional methods, as well as new curriculum standards and expectations.
This conference will allow me to continue my goal of lifelong learning. It will also help me to refresh, recharge, and create new and engaging learning activities for my students for years to come. Bu receiving funding for the hotel, I will be able to attend the conference and grow as an educator.
This conference is a dream for me, as the sessions and information provided is valuable and necessary to help me to continue to move forward as an effective and engaged Kindergarten teacher. My students deserve the best teacher they can have, and I strive to always work to be that teacher.
